Airgas fire anniversary

It was one year ago Wednesday that Tulsa's Airgas plant caught fire. The plant packages flammable compressed gas, and it was those products that exploded, causing quite a display of flying fireballs.

It was one year ago Wednesday that Tulsa's Airgas plant caught fire. The plant packages flammable compressed gas, and it was those products that exploded, causing quite a display of flying fireballs.

Three houses in the area, near downtown Tulsa, were destroyed and dozens of other homes and businesses were damaged. Some 65 vehicles in the parking lot were also a total loss.

No one was killed.
