OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Wheat production in Oklahoma increased last month but wasn't as high as yields in July 2003.
Oklahoma Agriculture Statistics Director Glenda Shepler says wheat production was 165.6-million bushels in July, about 4% more than June.
About 4.6-million acres are harvested for grain in Oklahoma.
July's average yield per acre during July was 36 bushels. That's three bushels below the average in July 2003.
