UNDATED (AP) _ With Heisman Trophy winner Jason White returning, Oklahoma comes in second in The Associated Press pre-season college football poll.
Oklahoma got eleven first-place votes.
Defending champ Southern Cal heads up poll after getting 48 of the 65 first-place votes. The Trojans are coming off their first national championship in 31 years.
Georgia is next, followed by defending co-national champion LSU and Florida State.
Miami tops the second five, followed by Texas, Michigan, Ohio State and West Virginia.
Florida checks in at number 11. Then it's California, Kansas State, Tennessee and Clemson.
Virginia, Auburn, Missouri, Iowa and Utah are next. Rounding out the top 25 are Wisconsin, Maryland, Oregon, Purdue and Minnesota.
Oklahoma State was also listed on the poll, but not ranked in the top 25.
