OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Police here arrested a prison escapee after getting a tip that he was hiding behind a sofa on a porch.

Anthony Deville Morrison, 38, was taken into custody and booked into the Oklahoma County jail on Thursday.

Morrison allegedly escaped from Howard MacLeod Correctional Center in Atoka. He has convictions for burglary, robbery, cruelty to animals and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Police picked up Morrison's trail after the mother of his child reported that he had been harassing her and that someone had broken a window in her home.

Officers couldn't find Morrison either time.

About 15 minutes later, police discovered him walking into a northwest-side clothing boutique and a foot chase ensued.

During the pursuit, police said they got a tip that someone was behind at a residence on N.W. 25th Street.

Morrison was then arrested.
