OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Three Oklahoma City police officers are on paid leave after shooting and killing a man as they investigated a prowler early Wednesday morning.
The name of the 71-year-old dead man hasn't been released.
Captain Jeffrey Becker says the officers were investigating a report of someone shooting through the window of a home in far southeastern Oklahoma City.
He says officers Cameron Douglas, Alan Davison and Mike Labadie found the man lying face down in a field with a gun and the man opened fire on the three.
Becker says the three officers returned fire, killing the man.
None of the officers were hit by the man's gunfire.
