New developments in an investigation at Tulsa International Airport. Tulsa City Council members voted Thursday night to conduct their own investigation at the airport despite an on-going investigation by the US Department of Transportation.
The federal investigation is looking into airport spending, including a city subsidy of bankrupt Great Plains Airlines. It also prompted the suspension of airport director Brent Kitchen last month.
The budget for the city's investigation is expected to be around $60,000.
