(Creek County-AP) -- A 39-year-old Depew woman died early Sunday morning when her car struck a concrete bridge rail and rolled into a creek.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Regina Mae Vaughn died at the scene of the crash from head injuries.
The accident happened at 449th West Avenue and 271st Street South in Creek County about 12:30 a-m.
Vaughn's passenger, 14-year-old Linda Chavez of Depew, had head and arm injuries but was in stable condition at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
The highway patrol says that after Vaughn's Toyota Corolla struck the bridge rail, Vaughn lost control. The car rolled two and a-half times and came to a rest on its top in a creek.
As the car was rolling, Vaughn was thrown out. She and Chavez weren't wearing seat belts.
