(Oklahoma City-AP) -- An Oklahoma County special judge is denying accusations he took a bribe from a defendant in a gambling case.

An anonymous party sent a fax to Oklahoma County District Judge Twyla Gray earlier this year accusing Judge Charles Hill of taking the bribe.

Hill met privately with prosecutors and defense attorneys yesterday and scheduled another meeting for August second.

Hill is the judge assigned to the preliminary hearing on the closing of the Apache Oak Cliff Indian Center in southeast Oklahoma City. The gaming center was closed in 2002 after officials determined it was not actually on Indian land.

Hill has stopped proceedings in the case until charges are filed or until he is completely exonerated.
