(Little Rock, Arkansas-AP) -- A law clerk's illness is delaying a decision in former Tulsa coach Nolan Richardson's discrimination lawsuit against the University of Arkansas.

After 18 days of testimony in the trial federal Judge William Wilson had planned to file his decision this week until his clerk got sick.

Wilson conferred briefly with lawyers in the case by telephone yesterday to let them know they won't receive a decision this week.

Richardson claims he was fired as head basketball coach at Arkansas because he is black and outspoken. The school says it had every right to fire Richardson after he said the university could buy out his contract.
