In a crisis situation involving children, it helps them to receive something that's comforting.

So the Tulsa Moose Lodge number 862 is stepping in to help. Members presented Tulsa Police, OHP, and the Sheriff and fire departments with 20 dozen "Tommy Moose" stuffed animals.

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Brian Edwards: "Especially with small children, it gives them something else to think about other than the events going on around them and even some of the older children it shows that we're a friend and that we do care."

The Tommy Moose project is just one of the community service projects that the lodge does during the year.
