What appears to be the popular new hot item for thieves, scooters. Tulsa Police officers recovered a number of them early Monday morning. It started with a suspicious vehicle call at about Admiral and New Haven.

That suspect was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant. But officers found a number of stolen electric and gas scooters.

A second suspect managed to run away. Then around 4 AM, another man with scooters in his vehicle was spotted in the 1100 block of North Harvard. He's also been arrested and the scooters confiscated.

Officers say a number of stores that carry the scooters have been burglarized in recent weeks.
