(Waltham, Massachusetts-AP) -- Oklahoma State alumnus Tony Allen has met the media with other N-B-A draft picks for the Boston Celtics and has gotten jersey number 42.

At the team's practice facility, Allen wore a Celtics jersey with Larry Bird's Number 33.

Director of basketball operations Danny Ainge thinks of Allen and former Saint Joseph's guard Delonte West as wings who will compete for playing time with Jiri Welsch, Ricky Davis and Paul Pierce.

Coach Doc Rivers says Allen is unguardable inside the three-point line.

Allen got a call of congratulations from former Celtic and fellow Chicago native Antoine Walker when he was drafted Thursday night.

Allen says it's a dream come true.
