Tulsa man dies after jumping from boat

(Lake Fort Gibson-AP) -- A Tulsa man is dead after a boating accident on Lake Fort Gibson. <br/><br/>Authorities this morning recovered the body of 48-year-old Rick Russell from the eastern Oklahoma lake.

(Lake Fort Gibson-AP) -- A Tulsa man is dead after a boating accident on Lake Fort Gibson.

Authorities this morning recovered the body of 48-year-old Rick Russell from the eastern Oklahoma lake.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Russell jumped from his pontoon boat last night during a near-collision.

The highway patrol says Russell's boat was drifting in the water with no lights, and a bass boat had to swerve to miss it.

Officials say Russell hit his head on the boat as he jumped into the lake.

He was not wearing a life jacket although they were available on the boat.
