WASHINGTON (AP) _ A California company is recalling five batches of Organic Baby and Naturally Preferred baby food because there may be broken glass inside some jars.
The recalled batches were produced in December 2001, but don't expire until the end of this year. The Food and Drug Administration says one of two reports that consumers found glass in the food came within the past month.
Recalled are 4-ounce jars of:
_Organic Baby carrots bearing the lid code 3391 J30, and green beans and rice with the code 3391 J33, both produced on Dec. 5, 2001.
_Organic Baby winter squash bearing the lid code 3541 J34, produced on Dec. 20, 2001.
_Naturally Preferred winter squash with the code 3541 J34, and sweet potato with the code 3541 J31, both produced on Dec. 20, 2001.
No injuries have been reported, said manufacturer J.R. Wood Inc. of Atwater, Calif.
Consumers may return unused jars to the place or purchase for a full refund, or call J.R. Wood at 1-800-544-4485.
