Everyone thinks their dad is the greatest, but only one gets the coveted "Father of the Year" title.

Announcer: "The 2004 Father of the Year Winner is Scott Thompson."

And this year, that dad is News on 6 anchor Scott Thompson.

More than 1,800 Tulsa County kids wrote essays about how great their dads are. 2nd grader Will Thompson's essay rose to the top.

The National Center for Fathering sponsors the award. And just a reminder, Father's Day is right around the corner, this Sunday.
