(Undated-AP) -- Driving too fast caused more than a third of the traffic-related deaths last month, the state Department of Public Safety reported today.
Sixty-six people died on Oklahoma streets and highways in May, compared to 49 in May 2003.
About half of the people weren't wearing seat belts at the times of the accidents.
Nine people died when the driver went left of the center of the road or passed another vehicle improperly.
About half of the people died on Saturdays or Sundays. About three-fourths of the victims were male.
