Computer security is more important than ever. Every week it seems there's news about some new virus or worm. But there's a shortage of people who can fix them.
That's why this fall, OSU-Okmulgee will offer the state's first-ever Bachelor of Technology degree in computer security. Businesses like Dollar-Thrifty, Williams, and EDS got a tour of the construction of the school's computer-security lab.
They expect there will be a big demand for graduates from the program because computers have become so important. Mark Morris with EDS: "Businesses have become so dependent upon the information technology. Basically, it can stop their business, or it can slow it down."
School officials say a Bachelor of Technology degree has more hands-on training than a Bachelor of Science degree.
