Some Claremore students are headed to the nation's capitol this weekend to compete in the world's largest rocket contest.
Seven students from Claremore High school spent weeks designing, building and testing their model rocket. It must fly as close to 1,250 feet as possible, then parachute two raw eggs back to earth, unbroken.
Out of 600 national entries, Claremore was one of 100 teams that met the rigorous requirements to advance to the national level.
Quinton was the only other Oklahoma qualifier.
