NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ A young woman whose children died of smoke inhalation in an apartment fire here has died of injuries she suffered in the blaze, officials say.
Natisha McClure died about 10:15 p.m. Thursday in the burn unit at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, a hospital spokeswoman said.
McClure, 23, never regained consciousness after she was burned in the fire early April 27 at The Pines in east Norman.
Garrett McClure, 5; NaKayla McClure, 4, and Ariana Clarkson, 18 months, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The children were buried a week ago. Services for McClure are pending.
The Republic Bank of Norman has set up a fund to honor the children and help the family defray funeral costs.
A restaurant donated $1,390 in profits from a four-hour shift last Monday. Kendall's Cafe also is sponsoring a raffle for a football that's been signed by University of Oklahoma present football coach Bob Stoops and former coach Barry Switzer, co-owner Richard Lock said.
