OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A former Tulsa Fire Department captain has been named in a state grand jury indictment on a third felony count.
The indictment, unsealed Monday in Tulsa district court, accuses William Bradford Adams of deceiving his doctor to collect work comp benefits.
It was the second work comp fraud count against Adams, who also is accused of felony perjury. Adams, 49, could receive up to five years in prison on each count.
The indictment was handed down April 14, when the first two counts were unsealed.
Adams' attorney, Everett R. Bennett Jr., said his client is innocent and was severely injured fighting a fire.
