An early Friday morning traffic accident in Broken Arrow sends one person to the hospital.

It happened around 2 AM at the intersection of 71st and Garnett. Broken Arrow Police say the driver of a red Ford Tempo was driving west when she made an illegal turn into upcoming traffic.

Broken Arrow Police Sgt John Zoller: "The driver of the Ford ran the red light in the path of the Jeep and they collided in the intersection."

The driver of the car was transported from the scene. Her injuries are not known. No one else was seriously hurt.

Charges are pending.
