Union High School's marching band - the Renegade Regiment – is in Washington DC.
The News on 6 caught up with them Thursday morning at Tulsa International Airport. 138 students and 30 chaperones boarded planes for a national marching band competition and all the sights of the capitol.
Dale Barnett, Union Band Director: "Everything we can squeeze in about 4 days. We do have a tour of the White House, the Pentagon and we're laying a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery on April 19th. It’s on the anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing so it's going to be kind of a special event."
The Regiment had to win local and regional competitions to qualify for the trip.
