(Miami, Oklahoma-AP) -- A Quapaw man accused of kidnapping and assault is being investigated in the 1991 disappearance of a Kansas woman.

Larry Dean Ross is being held in the Ottawa County Jail on $200,000 after a woman said Ross beat her, tied her up and tried to stab her.

Ouita Quapaw told deputies that Ross said he would kill her the way he killed Karol Sullens.

Sullens disappeared from a Galena, Kansas, strip club in 1991 and has never been found.
