A kidnapping and rape suspect is behind bars. Authorities caught him within hours of witnesses hearing the victim's cries for help.

Investigators charge Michael Wayne McWhirt with two counts of sexual assault and kidnapping. Tulsa Police say he abducted a woman at knifepoint Saturday, and then drove her to a west Tulsa motel where he assaulted her.

Police say they were able to arrest McWhirt quickly with the help of Crimestoppers tips, the OSBI and the Creek County Sheriff's Office.
