A citizen's group is planning a rally in an effort to remove a county sheriff arrested on a drunken driving complaint.

The arrest happened last weekend to Delaware County Sheriff Lenden Woodruff. Some citizens say in light of the arrest Woodruff should be removed from office. A rally is planned Monday to ask Delaware County commissioners to call for his resignation. A signed petition is also going around.

Woodruff says his arrest last weekend is politically motivated. The trooper who took him to jail says Woodruff was driving while intoxicated.
