Gunfire rings out early Wednesday, sending a child to the hospital. It happened around 1 AM Wednesday at a traffic light near Mohawk and Peoria.
An officer was handling a traffic stop when the driver of a car suddenly approached. Officers say the driver of the car explained he'd been shot at, nearby.
Tulsa Police Corporal Mike Griffin: "The shooter pulls up to the victim's car and shoots into the car and the victim drives west on Mohawk, briefly followed by the suspect to approximately Hartford. And then the suspect turned around and did a U-turn and headed back east on Mohawk.â€
A 3-year-old child in the car was grazed by a bullet. The child was taken to a local hospital. There is no update on his condition.
No arrests have been made.
