A scare for a Tulsa woman and her kids, when a man breaks into her home early Wednesday.

It happened around 1 AM Wednesday near 45th Street North and Garrison. Tulsa Police say the woman spotted the suspect in her hallway. She managed to run to her bedroom and barricade herself in there with her kids, and then called 911.

Officers believed the suspect was still inside. So, they broke a window and got the woman and kids out. They searched the house but didn't find anyone. Tulsa Police Sgt Robert Rohloff: “He pulled a fire bar off the back window and used a trash can to get up and then broke the window out and made entry into the house. So he was inside the house when she encountered him and apparently he went back out the same window.”

No one was hurt and the suspect remains at large.
