A presentencing investigation has been ordered and formal sentencing has been set for April 19th for Kenneth Eugene Barrett.
He was convicted last night in Sequoyah County of manslaughter and assault with a dangerous weapon.
He was accused of shooting Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper David "Rocky" Eales to death during a 1999 drug raid on Barrett's home.
The jury recommended sentences of 20 years on the manslaughter charge and ten years on the assault charge.
It will be determined in April if the terms will run consecutively or concurrently.
Barrett was found innocent of two counts of discharging a firearm in connection with shots fired at Troopers Rick Manion and Raymond Greninger.
