The votes have been counted, and Tulsa has a new representative for state district 67.

Voters in south Tulsa went to the polls Tuesday to decide who should fill Hopper Smith's unexpired term. Smith resigned when his Oklahoma National Guard unit got orders to go to Afghanistan.

Pam Peterson easily won the seat. She took in nearly 70% of the vote. Tommy Thompson finished a distant second, with attorney Greg Meier in third, and Jerry Buchanan in fourth.

Voters in both Dewey and Keystone also went to the polls, and passed school bond issues.
