Asbury United Methodist Church at 6767 South Mingo is about six weeks away from moving into its new facility.

It's an enormous 234,000 square complex near Union High School.

Its beautiful center piece is the sanctuary. It will seat just short of 3,000 and the acoustics will be a good as in any concert hall. Flintco project manager Ron Warner: "Everything had to be specially done in the ceiling so the acoustics will be just right in the building."

The walls in the sanctuary have seven layers of sheet rock to make sure the sounds stays put.

Construction will be completed in time for Sunday services on February 29th.
