A man is in the hospital after being shot by a security guard in Rogers County.

Authorities say the shooting happened just after 1 AM Thursday when an on site security guard responded to an alarm and found a man inside a buildling at the Ideal Elecrtonics company in Verdigris.

Rogers County Sheriff Jerry Prather: "an onsight security guard answered the alarm and found the place had been broken into. And confronted the suspect who was inside the building. Apparently the suspect was shot one time."

The suspect was taken by helicopter to a Tulsa hospital. We have no word on his condition. His name has not been released.
