Several local soldiers returned from Iraq just in time for the holidays. Members of the 812th Military Police Company arrived late Tuesday night at Tulsa International Airport.
These soldiers are coming home heroes. Their unit is one of the most decorated since World War II. Several soldiers were honored with purple hearts and bronze stars for bravery and valor. But these tough guys were just glad to be home for the holidays.
Daniel Horton, 812th Military Police Company: "They told us that we were gonna make it and then we're not gonna make it. It was kinda back and forth. And finally it came down we're going to make it so now everybody's real excited about it."
Members of the 812th helped to recover thousands of stolen Iraqi artifacts. And they helped bust up an Iraqi counterfeit money ring.
