Several hundred northeast Oklahoma soldiers from the 120th Engineer Battalion are at Fort Sill in Lawton undergoing pre-mobilization training.
Most of them will be heading to Iraq. They left home last week with 18 months of active duty ahead of them. Most will get a few days off at Christmas, and an opportunity for some time at home.
But getting home has become a problem. Several plans have been discussed, but nothing has been finalized and some of the troops are getting frustrated. Col Pat Sculley: "The command of the 120th Engineers is currently working on a plan to ensure that every soldier who wants to get come for Christmas, will come home."
Many soldiers have already made arrangements to get home and Colonel Sculley says no one will be left behind .
