A Tahlequah high school student battles cancer with help from his basketball teammates.
Bone cancer kept Kenny Comer from joining the Tigers on the court Tuesday night against Union, but his presence was felt in another way.
When Comer lost his hair to chemotherapy, his teammates shaved their heads to match. Before each game, coach Alan Green writes down the keys to winning. Each time, he adds the words "remember Kenny Comer".
When Comer is well enough and isn't undergoing chemotherapy in Oklahoma City, he joins his teammates on the court. It will be ten months before doctors can give him a clean bill of health. In the meantime, he'll continue to undergo treatments. -- Kenny Comer Cancer Fund 1111 S Muskogee Ave Tahlequah, Oklahoma 74464
