(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Most Oklahomans think Governor Brad Henry is doing a good or excellent job, according to a new poll.

The governor has an approval rating of 57%, down from 61% in a survey a few months ago, according to The Oklahoman poll taken by Wilson Research Strategies.

The poll included 300 Oklahomans questioned November 18th in a random statewide survey.

The margin of error is plus or minus 5.7% points.

27% of those surveyed say they disapprove of the job Henry is doing.

Henry's approval rating is ten points higher than that of former Republican Governor Frank Keating when he left office.

The poll also showed Oklahomans are more critical of the Legislature.

About one-third say they approve of the job state lawmakers are doing. 53% say they disapprove.
