(Oklahoma City-AP) -- No Democrats filed for the state House seat in south Tulsa left open by the resignation of Hopper Smith.
Four Republicans filed during the three-day period.
Former Tulsa County Republican Party chairwoman Pam Peterson and attorney Greg Meier filed Monday. Tommy Thompson, a former general manager for minor league sports teams in Tulsa, filed Tuesday.
Tulsan Jerry D. Buchanan also has filed for the seat.
Smith resigned November 12th after learning his Army National Guard Unit would be deployed to Afghanistan.
Smith, a Tulsa Republican is a lieutenant colonel.
