(Maysville-AP) -- An Oklahoma law officer says that state will wait on Arkansas to prosecute a man accused of murder before pursuing kidnapping and rape charges in Oklahoma.
33-year-old Billy Joe Wolfe of Jay, Oklahoma, is accused in the December 2nd shooting death of 32-year-old William Chetlee Janes. Janes was a former Maysville fire chief and was buried yesterday in the town's cemetery.
Yesterday an Oklahoma judge ordered Wolfe held without bond pending possible extradition. Wolfe was picked up last Wednesday in Kenwood, Oklahoma.
Authorities say Janes was shot to death on his couch and a woman at the home was abducted and then raped.
