Some Oklahoma families are counting their blessings. 300-soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 18th Field Artillery have returned to Fort Sill after eight months in Iraq.

Six soldiers from their Battalion were killed in a helicopter attack two weeks ago. Family members had to wait through two months of delays. But their soldiers are finally home.

Steve Christ with the US Army: “It feels great, I have my wife, and my family and that's all that matters.”

US Army Sgt Marcus King: “It's been kind of a dream for so long, I wondered what it would be like to be home and stuff now it's finally here, and it doesn't seem real.”

The soldiers will be home two weeks before they start training again. Two more groups of soldiers will return to Fort Sill this week.
