(Miami, Oklahoma-AP) -- An Oklahoma prison inmate who was mistakenly released from a Kansas jail is back in custody.
Police in Picher say Loyd Wilson was recaptured late Wednesday night in Columbus, Kansas.
Wilson was serving a 20-year sentence at the Lexington Correctional Center in Oklahoma for drug convictions when he was taken to Cherokee County, Kansas, earlier this month to face charges there. Oklahoma authorities say Wilson was mistakenly released from the Cherokee County jail after the charges in Kansas were resolved.
Wilson is a suspect in several burglaries and two stolen car cases in Ottawa County since his mistaken release.
