Early education concerns brought First Lady Kim Henry to Tulsa Wednesday. She toured three early childhood programs, one of them being McClure Elementary, as part of the Jumpstart campaign.

Mrs. Henry said its vital programs not only teach young children, but also get parents involved. She found Tulsa is on the right track. "Our children I should say across the state that spend their week hours in daycare and we want to make sure those daycares are high quality. And, some of the ones you have here in Tulsa are really exceptionally models for the rest of the state.”

Mrs. Henry also toured Mark Twain Elementary and the YWCA Child Development Center.
