(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A state Senator wants statewide vote on repealing Oklahoma's Right-to-Work law.
Senator Frank Shurden has introduced a joint resolution asking the legislature to put the question on the general election ballot next year.
Shurden says nearly 20,000 Oklahomans have lost their jobs since Right-to-Work was approved by voters in 2001. He says former Governor Frank Keating lied when he said Right-to-Work would provide workers with more freedom and create jobs.
The Senate joint resolution is co-authored by Representatives MC Leist and Jerry Ellis.
