(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Three prison inmates are charged with first-degree murder in a 1996 killing in Oklahoma City.

Maurice Miller, Farrell Jones and Travis O'Neal are accused of killing Cecil White during an attempted robbery outside a northeast Oklahoma City steak house.

Miller and Jones are inmates at the El Reno Federal Correctional Facility. O'Neal is jailed at the James Hamilton State Correctional Facility in Hodgen.

Police say they were notified by the F-B-I that Miller indicated he wanted to talk about his involvement in the killing. Court records say all three admitted they were armed when they went to the restaurant looking to rob someone.
