(Dallas-AP) -- The Big 12 Conference has voted to stay in Kansas City for the 2004 Big 12 football championship, giving Arrowhead Stadium back-to-back football championships.
The Big 12 board of directors chose the site during a teleconference Wednesday.
Big 12 Commissioner Kevin Weiberg says the conference will begin in the spring to evaluate future championship sites in football and basketball.
The championship was last in Kansas City in 2000 when Oklahoma, the eventual national champion, defeated Kansas State 27-to-24.
