A Tulsa lawmaker has an idea that could serve as a life-saving reminder for parents.

State Representative Fred Perry says after hearing about the tragedy in Glenpool when a forgotten child died in a hot car, he and his wife thought up a way to keep it from happening again. Their idea involves a keychain like-device and a card that hangs on the rear-view mirror.

Perry is talking to a developer. He says in the meantime he'll finance the first 500 hangers and give them out to parents for free.
