One man is in the Tulsa County jail after being caught red-handed by Tulsa Police breaking into a convenience store at 4850 South Elwood.
Police responded to an alarm call at the Stop and Save just north off I-44 on Elwood about 5:30 Tuesday morning. They soon found a hole in the building's back wall with a burglar attempting to escape.
Tulsa Police officer Bob Randolph, "officer Monty spotted the suspect coming out of the hole in the wall. We had a short foot chase and he was captured at the other end of the strip center."
Police believe the suspect may have tripped the store's panic alarm, which called them to the scene. Charges are pending.
