(Sallisaw-AP) -- A Sequoyah County man was killed Sunday when the tractor he was driving overturned and landed on top of him.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 60-year-old James Tabor was killed while clearing brush on his property about eight miles north of Muldrow.

His tractor hit a stump about 3-feet-tall and the tractor reared up and rolled onto Tabor.

Tabor was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers say the accident was reported at about 5:35 last night, but they aren't sure when the accident actually occurred.

Muldrow firefighters had to use a wench to free Tabor.
