(Bartlesville-AP) -- Aaron Craig scattered four hits in eight innings to lead Rochester, Minnesota, to a 5-to-2 win over Cherryville, North Carolina, in the American Legion World Series baseball championship.

(Bartlesville-AP) -- Aaron Craig scattered four hits in eight innings to lead Rochester, Minnesota, to a 5-to-2 win over Cherryville, North Carolina, in the American Legion World Series baseball championship.
Rochester rallied from a 2-to-0 deficit with a three-run fourth inning.
Lee Anderson's two-run single to right field tied the game. Anderson then scored on Cris Collins' single to left.
Rochester added runs in the fourth and eighth innings on RBI's by Ted Garry and Dany Lyons.
Craig struck out five and walked two for the win. Michael Badger allowed two hits in one inning of relief for the save.
Steven Justice suffered the loss for Cherryville, allowing five hits and three runs in two-and-two-thirds innings.
Cherryville relief pitcher Chris Mason was selected as the tournament's most valuable player. Mason came in after Rochester rallied and finished the game by striking out 10.
