Lots of kids are heading back to class this week and local police departments across Oklahoma are sending out a warning to drivers, slow down.
Thursday, Broken Arrow starts classes and Broken Arrow Police are putting Operation Safe Streets into effect. Officers will be looking for traffic violations, especially those around Broken Arrow and Union Schools.
They will be watching for drivers who don't stop for school buses and speed through school zones. Fines for speeding in those zones start at $140.
