(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A rate structure for Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company's wind power program has been approved by the Corporation Commission.
The wind power option was developed at the commission's request to offer more customer choice.
Commissioner Jeff Cloud says it also offers a new opportunity for Oklahoma companies and can be a key component in economic development in rural Oklahoma.
Under the rate structure, O-G-&-E customers who choose wind power will pay a premium of two cents a kilowatt hour above the cost of conventional power. But the final cost to the customer will be lower because wind power customers will receive a fuel credit.
The amount of the credit will vary according to the cost of the fuels used in conventional generation.
(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma Supreme Court's computer system has been hit by a virus that attacked computers worldwide.
The virus that struck yesterday didn't damage or destroy information on the computers. But Cheryl Camp of the Administrative Office of the Courts says new information can't be entered until the virus is repaired.
Camp says the system got hit with the w-32-dot-blaster-dot-worm virus. It reboots your computer over and over until you install a patch to fix it.
Court computers in at least 14 counties started having problems around 1:45 p-m. Some counties were still experiencing problems late Tuesday afternoon.
Camp says officials aren't sure when everything will be operational or even how the servers will be fixed.
