(Tahlequah-AP) -- An on-duty Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper was charged with operating a boat and carrying a firearm while drunk.

Dennis D. Dancer was allegedly operating a Department of Public Safety boat on Fort Gibson Lake.

Dancer's blood alcohol level was .14, above the legal limit for operating a vessel at .10.

He is a 15-year member of OHP and has been placed on paid administrative leave.
